If you would like to organise a group event it couldn't be simpler. Just give us a call with a list of your group's names, emails and mobile numbers and we will add them to the system for you. Each group member will get their own page but we can combine the group funds as well. If you would like to organise a larger group than 10 please call us to discuss your plan as we may need to make special arrangements.
The cost of The Great Wall Challenge 2019 is €1,875 and you will need to raise an at least an additional €1,875 to go to YSPI so you will need to fundraise a Minimum Target of €3,750.
Once you reach this minimum fundraising target you will need to send any money you’ve raised offline to Youth Suicide Prevention Ireland. We will already have your online sponsorship in your account. You can, of course, raise more funds than the minimum amount required. You can also, if you wish, donate all of the funds raised to Youth Suicide Prevention Ireland and pay for The Great Wall Challenge yourself.
When we receive funds for your campaign we will send your sponsor an acknowledgement and a Donation Receipt from Youth Suicide Prevention Ireland. You will also receive a daily summary for any day that you receive donations through our online system.
The advantage of these Personal Campaign pages is that all funds sponsored or donated come directly to us and we don't have to pay a percentage to anyone for processing the payments. Using our Personal campaign Pages means that 100% of the funds you raise will come to YSPI.
With a Personal Campaign Page you can collect sponsorship online by sharing the link to your Campaign Page on Facebook, Twitter, email etc. All sponsorship donations are made through Stripe, PayPal, ApplePay or GogglePay and are secure. You can also notify us that you are sending funds to us by bank transfer or cheque and the funds total will be added to your raised amount.
Anyone over 16 can register for the Skydive Experience. If you are aged between 16 and 18 you can still register if you have the consent of a parent or guardian to take part. Your parent or guardian will need to complete a consent form before you can book The Big Jump 2019.

We automatically give you 12 months to fundraise for the Great Wall Challenge but you can ask us to extend the authorisation period if required. Due to regulations concerning donations to charities it is at our complete discretion whether you are able to roll over existing donations into another period.
How long you take to raise the funds or when you book your Great Wall Challenge are totally up to yourself. Most participants take around six months to fundraise but some take less or more than that. You're in control and you can organise any fundraising to suit your circumstances.
As of October 2018 our administrative overhead is around 12%. This means that for every €1 we receive 88c goes towards our greatwallchallengeable objectives and just 12c goes to the administration of the charity. We have only two salaried staff and all our services and administration are provided by volunteers. All our Trustees and Managers are volunteers and receive no remuneration for their duties.
Use your online fund-raising page. Create a Facebook page, send the link to your family, friends, co-workers, parishioners, team mates, etc. and collect donations via credit cards online. It’s easy and simple, and eliminates spending a lot of time sending letters, calling people, and organizing big events. We can help you with this just contact email@example.com
Yes there is and you can view a sample itinerary HERE. The itinerary may change depending on accommodation availability. We occasionally run our Great Wall challenge in reverse, which means that you will complete all of the days of trekking given here but in a different order. We will do our very best to keep to the set itinerary; however we cannot be held responsible for any last minute changes that might occur. In all such circumstances, your expedition leader will have the final say.
You MUST have comprehensive travel insurance purchased prior to departure. You will be asked to show your travel policy before check-in.
Yes unless you are a Chinese National you will need to apply for a Visa.
